This is a port of MAME/MAME32 version 0.36 to the AlphaNT platform.

For sound, set your default sound settings to MIDAS. The basic directsound
support does not work well at all. (Which is odd because MIDAS uses
directsound for it's output and it seems to work quite well...)

There are two executables for this port. One has been compiled so it
will run on any Alpha CPU. The other has been complied to take advantage
of specific features in the 21164A and later CPUs. It will NOT run on
CPUs before the 21164A. To know which executable you are running, here
are the stats:

  Generic compile - MAME32-21064.EXE 04/01/2000 03:32AM 10,524,672 bytes
  21164A+ compile - MAME32-21164a.EXE 03/29/2000 10:42PM 10,190,336 bytes

TIPS: If you start the emulator and only have half a screen, change the
Display Option "Double display size" to "Vertical scan lines".

The emulator will hog the machine. If you plan to run stuff in the
background, use Task Manager to set the MAME32 process priority to
LOW or run MAME32 via the start command with the /low switch.

If you have any specific problems, please drop me a note.
