DECserver 900TM: Multiprotocol Communications Server for the Network

Need a high-density, high-speed, high-performance multiprotocol
communications server to provide LAT, Telnet, or TN3270 services for your
Ethernet network? You need the DECserver 900TM.  It's a smart,
multioperating system server that supports all of the devices on your
network _ video terminals, serial printers, modems, data switches, and PCs.

The DECserver 900TM 32-port communication server supports both local and
remote access via DECserver Network Access Software for protocols that
include: TCP/IP Telnet, SLIP, CSLIP, point-to-point protocol, TN3270, LAT,
Kerberos security, and the enhanced DECserver User Interface. 

A high-performance hardware platform, the DECserver 900TM is configured
with 4MB memory _ easily expandable to 8MB _ using SIMM memory cards. The
Flash Card Option eliminates the need for a load host to down-line load the
software. 

The DECserver 900TM provides the solution for today's needs through high
speed and throughput, expandable memory, and upgradeable Flash capability. 
It ensures the ability to handles tomorrow's needs through enhancements to
the DECserver Network Access Software.  And, it can be used interchangeably
in standalone and hub-based configurations to accommodate small workgroups
to large enterprises.

gives you industry-standard connections at speeds up to 115.2 Kb/s to
accommodate high-bandwidth asynchronous devices.  With a variety of systems
supported by the LAT protocol, the DECserver 900TM is highly adaptable to
your environment, and it protects your existing investment. 

Low-Cost Remote PC LAN Connection _ SLIP, CSLIP, PPP
----------------------------------------------------

PCs that support SLIP, CSLIP, or PPP can be linked to the network via
serial lines.  The DECserver 900TM acts as a static router, passing packets
to the PC "end nodes."  A single DECserver Ethernet address can support up
to 32 ports as individual IP addresses.
