RoamAbout Wireless PCMCIA Network Adapter: Linking Wireless Nodes to
Hardwired Ethernet Networks

With today's skyrocketing use of portable computers -- and the increased
productivity this brings to your business -- it's crucial to provide users

Digital's RoamAbout(tm) Wireless PCMCIA Network Adapter is a
high-performance, low-power wireless network adapter for laptop, notebook,
and notepad computers equipped with a Personal Computer Memory Card
International Association (PCMCIA) Type II card slot. This Type II,
credit-card-sized adapter gives wireless nodes access to wired Ethernet
networks via Digital's RoamAbout Access Point. With the same type of PCMCIA
wireless network adapter inserted in both your mobile device and the
RoamAbout Access Point, you gain access to Ethernet files, services, and
devices on your wired network. 

Part of Digital's growing family of mobile and wireless products, the
RoamAbout Wireless PCMCIA Network Adapter includes ODI and NDIS drivers to
support common PC network operating systems such as PATHWORKS, LAN Manager,
NetWare(r), and NetWare Lite. Combined with Digital's RoamAbout Access
Point, this adapter includes software to support in-building roaming and
wireless network protocols.

o One of the following network operating environments:

     such as:
     PATHWORKS
     Microsoft(r) LAN Manager V2.0 or later
     Microsoft Windows(tm) for Workgroups
 
  -- Novell(r) NetWare V2.1X, V3.1X, V4.0, NetWare Lite V1.1 or later
