* VERSION INFORMATION *
***********************

To determine the version number of an existing driver,
highlight the dglpadia.sys filename using the file manager
(usually \winnt35\system32\drivers\dglpadia.sys or
\winnt40\...) and use the file->properties pull down menu
to view the version number.

* KNOWN BUGS *
**************

If the FULL test suite is run without an external loopback
cable, some packet tests fail. While it is unnecessary to
have an external loopback cable for the FULL test suite,
it advisable to have an external loopback cable installed
whenever the FULL diagnostic test suite is executed.

***************
* LIMITATIONS *
***************

Refer to the diagwrks.hlp file in the \winnt directory on
your installation floppy or in \winnt\system32.

Diagnostics are unsupported on an Alpha 4100 under Windows
NT 4.0 or 3.51.

Diagnostics are unsupported on an Alpha Station 600 running
Window NT 4.0.

Diagnostics are unsupported on a Digital Prioris ZX5000 MP.

If you are installing diagnostics from the CD, you must type
"cd_drive:\diags\", where cd_drive is the letter assigned to
the cd drive on your machine, when NT prompts you for the
source directory during the installation phase of the Network
Control Panel Applet. If you are installing from a floppy,
the installation procedure defaults to "A:\". Correct this
as needed.

* BUG FIXES AND NEW FEATURES *
******************************

FOR VERSION 1.00
Corrected bug in DIAGwrks. DIAGwrks would not be able to locate
the help file following version 0.2. Corrected software so that
DIAGwrks now looks in expected directory despite the current
working directory.

There were several minor changes to the diagnostic driver. The
driver now uses VCs in the upper range for the VC mode
currently configured on the hardware. Other modifications were
incidental. Also corrected a bug in the receive data FIFO
overflow test. The test now looks for the proper failure
conditions.

FOR VERSION 0.2
This version adds a file called mac_addr.txt which
contains the MAC addresses for those NICs passing all tests.
DIAGwrks creates the file when the MAC Address button is selected on
the test page after the test suite has executed on at least
one NIC. The file is guaranteed to be up-to-date when the above
conditions are followed.

NOTE: Run the EXTENDED test suite prior to selecting the
MAC Address button.

The Board page may be interrupted when running in the
continuous mode. To use this feature, select the Alt-o
keyboard buttons. DIAGworks will finish executing the
current set of tests and, when complete, stops all testing.
You should not have to wait more than the current test
suite completion time before stopping the testing.

DIAGwrks correctly handles missing physical adapters on
boot-up. Release version 0.1 would not recognize any
ATMworks 351 if the "first" adapter it searched for was
missing. This version finds any NIC regardless of where
it is installed.

The diagnostic driver has a bug fix for the EEROM test.
On occasion the EEROM test would fail reporting an incorrect
prefix, e.g. 0xFD08002B. The test now initializes the expected
value correctly and parses the actual value correctly.

FOR VERSION 0.1
None

FOR VERSION 0.0
This is the initial release.
