1. Card Installation
   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 - ENABLER:
   The enabler must be run in your CONFIG.SYS in order for any of the
   diagnostics tools or the driver to load.  Here is an example of what
   it should look like:
   DEVCIE=c:\roamabt\enabler.sys /m=d000 /b=300 /i=5
 - ENABLER PARAMETERS:
   = Interrupt number selection (/I= ):  Recommended Default /I=5
   Allowable IRQs are 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14 & 15.
   = I/O base address selection (/B= ):  Recommended Default /B=300
   The Valid range is 300 to 3F8, however,  in the range 370-3F8 there
   are some addresses that should be avoided.  Do NOT use I/O Base
   address 3C0h (video adapter, EGA and VGA) or 3E0.
   It is recommended to use an address from the range 300h..370h.
   = Memory Window (/M=):  Recommened Default /M=D000
   A four digit value is needed with the last 2 digits zero (/M=xx00).
   Any value between C000 - EF00 (C000, C100, C200, ... EE00, EF00) can be
   selected.  If you have Windows on your notebook, you can run Microsoft's
   utility MSD.EXE to find usable (free) memory space.  Only a single - so
   called - page (4K) of memory is required, e.g. from C700 to C7FF.
   Do not forget to "exclude" the memory window, see your Owner's Manual.
2. General remarks
   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 - MS-DOS 6.N MULTIPLE CONFIG.SYS CONFIGURATIONS:
   With the introduction MS-DOS 6.n, a single CONFIG.SYS file can define
   several different system configurations. Due to this feature, you must
   take special precautions when installing any new product that modifies
   your CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files. It is recommended that you make
   make a backup of these two files before installing any network operating
   system. You should then compare your original files with the modified
   files to verify that the changes were made correctly.

 - DRIVER CERTIFICATION:
   The NDIS driver has been Pathworks Certified, by Digital Equipment.
   In addition it is our policy to have the DOS ODI Driver certified by
   Novell Inc. and the NDIS Driver certified by Microsoft Corporation.
   At the point of release the drivers have passed our initial testing and
   pre-certification testing. The latter uses the same test cases as used
   by Novell Inc./Microsoft Corp. for their certification testing.
   However it is not always possible to have certification completed
   at the moment of release. For the latest certification status, contact
   your WaveLAN/PCMCIA supplier or Novell Inc./Microsoft Corp. dealer
   respectively.

4. Remarks for ODI environments
   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
   The Root directory on the diskette contains an example NET.CFG file.
   If a NET.CFG already exists (created by Netware installation
   procedure), you should edit that one to include the WaveLAN/PCMCIA
   unique parameter.  Otherwise copy the supplied NET.CFG.
   If you have additional PCMCIA card(s) in your PC, you should insure
   that you change the "Socket X" option to "Socket A" or "Socket B"
   depending upon which socket you phsically have the card plugged into.
	Socket          X        ; PCMCIA Socket A-H or X for any
	Domain ID       0001     ; Network Domain ID 0001 to FFFF
5. Remarks for NDIS environments
   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
   The Root directory on the diskette contains a PROTOCOL.INI stub file.
   After your network installation procedure completes, you should edit
   the PROTOCOL.INI file to include the WaveLAN/PCMCIA unique parameter.

   If you have additional PCMCIA card(s) in your PC, you should insure

7. Troubleshooting
   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Should you experience problems with Pathworks V5.0 using EMSLOADs, you
should contact your Digital Representative to inquire about a Pathworks
V5.1 upgrade.
- The Encryption option is not currently available.
- If you are having problems accessing your wired LAN (via a RoamAbout
Access Point) you should insure that your client and your access points
have the same "Domain ID" and "Beacon Key" set (if you are using the
roaming feature) and that your RoamAbout Access Point is running software
V1.0.0 or later.  If you are not using the roaming feature, you should
insure that your client and your access point have the same "Network ID".
