AMU can be accessed through the Server Platform Manager (SPM) client or accessed directly if AMU has been installed as a stand-alone application. If you have installed AMS, AMU can only be accessed through SPM.
Accessing AMU through SPM running on an AMS
From SPM, AMU can only be accessed by a user who is logged in as an operator or administrator on SPM.
An operator or administrator accesses AMU by selecting a specific platform on SPM, pulling down the Actions menu (or right-clicking the selected platform) and choosing AMU....

The AMU main display appears.
AMU can be installed to run standalone if you have not installed AMS. See Security for further information about proper authorization. In standalone mode, the AMU client is accessed directly by opening the URL http://amu_server_name:8080/mpmu.
A platform must be configured before it can be managed in AMU. To do this, select Open Visual Editor from the File menu. This brings up the AMU Visual Editor application; check its help file for details on configuring a platform.
When you return to AMU, select Open Platform from the File menu. The Open Platform dialog box appears, and the platform you just configured is listed in it.
