When you choose "Save CDL File..." from the Hard Partition context popup menu, the Save CDL File dialog box is displayed.

File Name: |
Type in a name for the log file (the extension should always be ‘errlog’). |

Name ID: |
Type an identifier name that will subsequently be included in the header to provide information about the origin of the data that follows the header |

Platform Model: |
Choose model of platform from the drop-down choices. |
The resulting Console Data Log (CDL) File is saved in one of the following locations:
/usr/opt/ams/tomcat/webapps/spm/WEB-INF/log (AMS installations on Tru64 and Linux)
/usr/opt/amu/tomcat/webapps/mpmu/WEB-INF/log (AMU stand-alone installations on Tru64 and Linux)
c:\amu\tomcat\webapps\mpmu\WEB-INF\log (AMU stand-alone on Windows)
sys$sysdevice:[apche.jacarta.tomcat.webapps.mpmu.WEB-INF.log
(AMU stand-alone on OpenVMS)
