Use the following steps to partition a platform using AMU.
1. Create a hard partition.
Select Partitions->New Hard Partition in the right click context popup menu while the partition node is selected, and fill in the requested data.
The new hard partition will appear in AMU’s tree view.
The new hard partition has a default subpartition, ‘Default_SP’. If you wish to create a subpartition using a name of your preference, go to step 2, Otherwise continue on to step 3.
2. Create a subpartition.
Select the hard partition you created in step 1. Choose New Sub partition in the right click context popup menu and enter a name for the subpartition.
3. Select the CPUs you would like to assign to the partition.
In the partitions logical view displayed in the right frame of the main display, select one or more CPUs by moving the cursor on the CPUs with the left mouse button pressed.
4. Assign the selected CPUs to the partition.
Right click on the subpartition and select the Assign to Subpartition menu.
You are now ready to boot the partition
