General tab

The General properties tab of the Dual CPU Module Properties dialog box displays the module's coordinates, CMM IP address, CMM power state, CMM status, and CMM POST code.

To view the general properties of a dual CPU module, right-click it in the left tree view and select Properties and the General tab.

Entity:

Cabinet, drawer, instance (entity within the drawer.)

CMM IP Address:

Unique IP address assigned to this CMM

Power State:

The CMM power state; power on or power off.

CMM Status:

POST ok, POST error, CMM not present, or filler present.

CMM POST Code:

0 = All self-tests passed
1 = Fatal error detected during self-test.
2 = Non-fatal error detected during self-test.

CPU Frequency (MHz):

The EV7 frequency in MHz.

IP Ratio:

The ratio as defined in the EV7 CPU hardware spec.

IO Ratio

The ratio as defined in the EV7 CPU hardware spec.

ZBox Ratio

The ratio as defined in the EV7 CPU hardware spec.

The following table displays all CPUs in the system drawer

CPU

The CPU cabinet/drawer/dual module/instance coordinates.

Memory (MB)

Memory assigned to the CPU.

Status

The running status of the CPU.

Logical CPU

The logical coordinates of the CPU.

PID

The processor ID of the CPU.

Environment tab

You can view a dual CPU module's environmental properties in the Environment tab of the Dual CPU Module Properties dialog box. This dialog box displays a warning limit and a failure limit for the voltage and temperature sensors of the dual CPU module. When a sensor receives a reading that meets or exceeds a limit, the dual CPU module is placed into the appropriate state. For example, if the module's temperature sensor has a warning limit of 25 degrees Centigrade, the yellow status light on the system drawer will light when the temperature of the module reaches 25 degrees Centigrade. See Status Lights/Indicators for more information on status lights.

Fans (Readings in RPM)

Locator

Identifies a specific fan.

Status

Status of fan within the system requirements: OK, Warning, Failure, Not Present, or Unknown.

Actual

Fan RPMs.

Warning Limit

Minimum and maximum RPM values outside of which the fan is considered to be in the yellow zone.

Failure Limit

Minimum and maximum RPM values outside of which the fan is considered to be in the red zone.

Last Alert

The last alert sent.

History

Click to see all the readings of the Locator that has the problem in the Environmental Alerts History dialog box.

Voltages (Readings in Volts)

Locator

The component the voltage sensor is on.

Status

Status of voltage value within the system requirements: OK, Warning, Failure, Not Present, or Unknown.

Actual

The actual sensor value in volts.

Nominal

The expected sensor value in volts. The sensor is considered to be in the green zone if it is within the warning limits.

Warning Limit

Minimum and maximum voltage values outside of which the sensor is considered to be in the yellow zone.

Failure Limit

Minimum and maximum voltage values outside of which the sensor is considered to be in the red zone.

Last Alert

The last alert sent.

History

Click to see all the readings of the Locator that has the problem in the Environmental Alerts History dialog box.

Temperatures (Readings in Degrees Centigrade)

Locator

Identifies a specific temperature reading area.

Status

Status of temperature value within the system requirements: OK, Warning, Failure, Not Present, or Unknown.

Actual

Temperature reading in Centigrade.

Warning Limit

Minimum and maximum temperature values outside of which the fan is considered to be in the yellow zone.

Failure Limit

Minimum and maximum temperature values outside of which the fan is considered to be in the red zone.

Last Alert

The last alert sent.

History

Click to see all the readings of the Locator that has the problem in the Environmental Alerts History dialog box.

Firmware tab

You can view detailed information about the firmware running on a dual CPU module in the Firmware tab of the Dual CPU Module Properties dialog box.

Select the Firmware tab in the Dual CPU Module Properties dialog box. To fill in the dialog box, select Retrieve.

Running Firmware Version of

The version of the CMM firmware currently running.

Module

List of the firmware modules in flash memory (SROM, XSROM, FPGA, CMM, SRM, MBM, PMM).

Flash Memory Version

The version of each module in flash memory.
x.mmm.nnn.sss, where:
x = v, released version, or t, test version
mmm = the major version
nnn = the minor version
sss = build number

Retrieve

Click to retrieve the firmware modules and their versions.

Alerts tab

You can view any alerts specific to this dual CPU module by selecting the Alerts tab in the Dual CPU Module Properties dialog box.

The dual CPU module alerts display shows any firmware alerts whose source was "CMMn" that originated from that dual CPU module during the current AMU user session.  The display includes the time the alert occurred, the impact level of the alert, and a brief summary of the alert condition.

See the Properties Alerts sample display for an example.
