The File menu is present only when AMU is launched standalone, and not through SPM.
The File menu is accessed from the menu bar. The table below shows the options displayed on the File menu and provides a brief description of each.

Open Visual Editor |
Start the AMU Visual Editor. |

Open Platform |
Enables the user to select another platform, and displays information about the platform in the main display's right frame. This choice is enabled when there is no platform open. |

Close Platform |
Terminates the management session for this platform. All displays are cleared and the Open Platform menu choice becomes enabled. |
