To display the Hard Partition Properties dialog box, right-click the hard partition in the left tree view and select Properties.

The hard partition number, 0 to 254. |

Name: |
Name assigned to the hard partition at creation. The maximum length is 20 characters. |

State: |
Powered On or Powered Off. |
|
Sub Partitions Type: |
The type of subpartitions found in this hard partition. |
|
Maximum CPUs: |
The maximum number of CPUs that can ever be placed in the hard partition. This number is used to determine the proper routing algorithm. |

Assigned CPUs/IOs |
Number of CPUs and IOs assigned to this hard partition. |
|
Striping: |
Indicates whether striping is enabled or disabled. |
|
Sub Partitions |
|

Subpartition |
A/B, where A is the number of the hard partition the subpartition belongs to and B is the number of the subpartition. |
|
State |
The current running state of the subpartition: Not Running, Running XSROM, Running SRM, or Unknown. |
|
CPUs / IOs |
The number of CPUs and I/O connections in the subpartition. |
|
Delete Sub Partition |
Delete the subpartition. Delete is enabled only if a selected subpartition is in Not Running state. |
|
New Sub Partition |
Invoke the New Subpartition dialog box. This button is enabled only in exclusive mode and only if the hard partition is powered off. |

(X,Y) |
The x, y coordinates of the CPU. |
|
Subpartition |
The hard partition/subpartition number the CPU belongs to. |
|
PID |
The processor ID. |
|
Entity |
The cabinet/drawer/dual module/instance coordinates of the CPU. This field may also contain a reference to a dual CPU module, CPU filler, or system drawer if a CPU is not installed. |
|
IO Riser |
The cabinet/drawer/instance of the IO Riser the CPU is connected to. |
|
Community Size (MBs): |
The memory allocated to the hard partition's community. A value of Auto indicates that the firmware has assigned memory automatically. |
|
Assign Memory to Community |
The button is enabled only if you have exclusive control, the hard partition is powered off, and the hard partition has more than one subpartition. Select to assign memory to the community. |
Alerts tab
You can view any alerts specific to this hard partition by selecting the Alerts tab in the Hard Partition Properties dialog box.
The hard partition alerts display shows any firmware alerts whose source was "Operational" that originated from that hard partition during the current AMU user session. The display includes the time the alert occurred, the impact level of the alert, and a brief summary of the alert condition.
