When you click on the Hardware icon, the hardware view displays a graphical representation of a platform, complete with cabinets, system drawers, and I/O cabinets in the right frame of the main display. The attention indicators show the state of the system lights, which display a real-time status of the components. The power status of a component (such as a system drawer) is indicated by the icon in the tree view. See Icons for a description of each.
The first example below shows the hardware view when the hardware tree node is selected.
Pause the mouse pointer over a component to display its properties. For example, the system drawer displays the number of processors, the cabinet it is in, and its status.
If you select a System Drawer icon, the hardware view displays the system drawer's connections in the right frame, shown in the second display below.
