The AMU main display consists of a menu bar and three frames, left, bottom, and right, as depicted below.
The left frame always displays a hierarchical (or tree) view of the hardware components and partitions.
The bottom frame consists of two tab displays, Activity and Alerts. The activity view shows status messages on operations initiated by the user. The alerts view shows all the alerts forwarded from the Server Management LAN firmware when errors or configuration changes occur.
The right frame display is controlled by the node selected in the left frame and some menu items in context popup menus. It may display the hardware view, partitions view, zoom view, or properties.
The following two illustrations show the location of the menu bar and frames.
The Hardware icon is selected in the first example, so the hardware view of the platform appears in the right frame.

The System Drawer icon is selected in the following example, so the hardware view of the system drawer and its I/O and power connections are displayed in the right frame.
