Platform Properties

To display a platform's properties, right-click the Platform icon in the left tree view and select Properties.

General tab

You can view the platform's general properties by selecting the General tab in the Platform Properties dialog box.

Description:

The description provided by the administrator when the platform was added.

PMU Server IP Address:

The NAT box's IP address.

 

Alerts:

 

On

If the version of MBM firmware running on the platform supports alerts.

Off

If the version of MBM firmware running on the platform does not support alerts.

Note: Alerts are supported in all MBM firmware Versions 2.3-7 or greater.
 

Hardware:

Double clicking on Details displays the hardware view in the right frame of the main display.

Partitions:

Double clicking on Details displays the partitions view in the right frame of the main display.

Firmware tab

You can view detailed information about all the firmware modules found on the platform in the Firmware tab of the Platform Properties dialog box.

If the display is empty, select Retrieve. The AMU server gets firmware information from the PMU server. When the data are received by the client, the table in the Firmware tab is populated. Check the Activity View for progress.

Note: You must take exclusive control of AMU to upgrade firmware.

To upgrade the firmware in all micros for a module:

Select the module’s table entry and then click the Upgrade button to go to the Upgrade Firmware dialog box.

To upgrade the firmware in one micro only for a module:

Select the module’s table entry and click Details to go to the Firmware Module Properties dialog box; select the entry for the micro you want to upgrade and then select Upgrade to use the Upgrade Firmware dialog box.

Module

The firmware module (SROM, XSROM, FPGA, CMM, SRM, MBM, PMM).

Flash Memory Version

x.mmm.nnn.sss, where:
x = v, released version, or t, test version
mmm = the major version
nnn = the minor version
sss = build number
Mixed = Firmware found on modules have different versionsor this module is not found on some micros. Click Details for more information.
Unknown = Firmware entry is empty. If the table cell is empty, the module is not found on all micros.

Upgrade All Micros...

Upgrade the firmware of all micros for a selected module. Select the module and click the Upgrade All Micros button to display the Upgrade Firmware dialog box.

Upgrade PMU Server...

Upgrade the firmware of the PMU server (leader MBM) only.

Details...

The Details button enables you to upgrade only a specific module's micro. Select a module and click the Details button to view or upgrade micro firmware for that module in the Firmware Module Properties dialog box.

Retrieve

Retrieve and display the firmware information.

 

Logs tab

You can view the platform's hardware logs by selecting the Logs tab in the Platform Properties dialog box.

Date

Dates that have at least one error.

Open

Display the log of errors that have occurred at an MBM or PBM on the specified date. (Note that Open is disabled if there is no selection in the date list.)

Retrieve

Retrieve and display the MBM log entries.

 

Alerts tab

You can view any alerts specific to this platform by selecting the Alerts tab in the Platform Properties dialog box.

The platform alerts display shows any firmware alerts whose source is "Operational" and has occurred during the current AMU user session.  The display includes the time the alert occurred, the severity level of the alert, and a brief summary of the alert condition.
