Tree View

The tree view displays a hierarchical view of the platform's hardware and partitions in the left frame of the main display.

The root of the tree is the platform. When you click Hardware or other components, you see a graphical view of the hardware (hardware view), in the right frame. When you click Partitions or their components, you see a logical view of the partitions in the right frame, the partitions view.

When you select a node in the tree view, the corresponding element is highlighted in the right frame (by graying all other parts of the platform). Conversely, when you select an element in the right frame, the corresponding node is selected in the left frame tree view.

Pausing the cursor over any item in the tree produces a tooltip that contains information about the item such as its location and status.

Right clicking a tree node calls a context popup menu of options; right-clicking elements of hardware, zoom, or partitions view calls the same context popup menu.

 Hardware

Hardware view - a graphical representation of the platform.

 Cabinet

Highlights a particular cabinet in the platform. (When you are viewing a system drawer in 8P zoom view, you can select the cabinet's icon to zoom back out to view the entire cabinet.)

 System Drawers

Highlights the location of a particular system drawer in the hardware view. The power state of the system drawer is displayed next to the number of the drawer. All IO cable connections and power supply tray connections of the system drawer are displayed as well.

 Dual CPU Modules

Highlights the location of the dual CPU modules in the hardware view. The power state of the modules is displayed next to the module's number. All I/O cable connections of this dual CPU module are displayed as well.

 CPUs

Highlights the location of a particular CPU; the icon also indicates whether the CPU is running the SRM console or an operating system. All I/O cable connections of this CPU are displayed (if any).

 Power Supply Tray

Highlights its location and displays the system drawer powered by this tray.

 System Power Supply

Highlights its location and displays the system drawer powered by this power supply.

 Standard I/O Drawer

Displays the all I/O cable connections of this drawer (if multiple I/O risers are installed.

 I/O Riser

Displays a particular I/O cable connection of the I/O riser.

 I/O Power Supply

Displays the I/O power supply connections.

 Partitions.

Displays the partitions view of how the CPUs are partitioned.

 Hard partition

Displays the partitions view of the hard partitions configured on the platform. Highlights all CPUs assigned to the selected hard partition.

 SubPartition

Displays the partitions view of the subpartitions configured on the platform. Highlights all CPUs assigned to the selected subpartition.
