Upgrading Firmware

You can update firmware by clicking on the Firmware tab of the Platform Properties dialog box. To fill in the dialog box, select Retrieve.

Note: You must take exclusive control of AMU to upgrade firmware.

To upgrade the firmware in all micros for a module:

Select the module’s table entry and then click the Upgrade button to go to the Upgrade Firmware dialog box.

To upgrade the firmware in one micro only for a module:

Select the module’s table entry and click Details to go to the Firmware Module Properties dialog box; select the entry for the micro you want to upgrade and then select Upgrade to use the Upgrade Firmware dialog box.

Module

The firmware module (SROM, XSROM, FPGA, CMM, SRM, MBM, PMM).

Flash Memory Version

x.mmm.nnn.sss, where:
x = v, released version, or t, test version
mmm = the major version
nnn = the minor version
sss = build number
Mixed = Firmware found on modules have different versions.
Unknown = Firmware entry is empty.

Upgrade All Micros...

Upgrade the firmware of all micros for a selected module. Select the module you want and click the button to view the Upgrade Firmware dialog box.

Upgrade PMU Server...

Upgrade the firmware of the PMU server (leader MBM) only.

Details...

The Details button enables you to upgrade a specific module's micro only. Select a module and click the Details button to view or upgrade micro firmware for that module in the Firmware Module Properties dialog box.

Retrieve

Click to show all firmware versions.
