When a template or configuration is in Edit mode, its entry in the tree (left frame) is bold and preceded by an asterisk. Only one template or configuration can be edited at a time.
About Edit mode
When a template or configuration is in Edit mode, these functions on its context menu are enabled: Save, Undo Edit, and Delete Element (child node's context menu). These functions are disabled: New Template or Configuration, Duplicate Template or Configuration, Delete Template or Configuration, and Edit Template or Configuration.
When a template or configuration is in Edit mode, these functions are disabled for all other templates and configurations: Save, Undo Edit, and Delete Element.
When no template or configuration is in Edit mode, the following functions are enabled: New Template or Configuration, Duplicate Template or Configuration, Delete Template (other than standard templates) or Configuration, Edit Template (other than standard templates) or Configuration, and Properties (view only). These functions are disabled: Delete Template (standard templates), Edit Template (standard templates), Save, Undo Edit, and Delete Element.
Entering Edit mode
Edit mode can be entered in several ways:
Select the template or configuration. From its context menu select Edit, or from the File menu select Edit.
Select New Template from the Templates context menu. Fill in the New Template dialog box and click OK.
Select Duplicate Template from the context menu for a template. Fill in the New Template dialog box or accept the defaults and click OK.
Select New Configuration from the Platform Configurations context menu. Fill in the New Configuration dialog box and click OK.
Select Duplicate Configuration from the context menu for a configuration. Fill in the New Configuration dialog box or accept the defaults and click OK. Edit mode is entered if no template is referenced.
Exiting Edit mode
The template or configuration remains in Edit mode until you do one of the following:
Select Save from the context menu for the template or configuration or from the File menu. The template or configuration is saved.
Select Undo Edit from the context menu for the template or configuration or from the File menu. The template or configuration is restored to the state it was in before editing or, if it is new, it is deleted.
