The Create or Modify a Partition Map dialog box is the central point in APW for making changes to your partition map.
If you elect to Modify an existing partition map or to Modify current partition map in the Work with Partition Maps dialog box, or if you complete the Partition Map Creation Criteria dialog box and click Next>, the Create or Modify a Partition Map dialog box appears:

The following table explains the fields in this dialog box.

Partition Map Name |
Name of the partition map you want to work with or create. The default is the platform name and the current date. |

Partition |
This column lists the hard partitions in the partition map. |
|
Console |
The console name of the partition listed in the left-hand column of this row. |
|
OS Status |
The operating system status of the partition listed in the left-hand column of this row. |
|
OS Type |
The operating system type of the partition listed in the left-hand column of this row. |
|
QBBs |
This column displays the number of QBBs assigned to the partition. |
|
CPUs |
Number of CPUs assigned to the partition. |
|
Memory (MB) |
Memory assigned to the partition in MBs. |
|
Soft Partitions |
Number of soft partitions assigned to the hard partition. |
|

Add |
Add a hard partition to this partition map; the Add or Modify Hard Partition dialog box appears. |

Modify |
Modify a hard partition you have selected from this partition map; the Add or Modify Hard Partition dialog box appears. |

Delete |
Delete a hard partition from this partition map. |

Resources |
Display the Resources dialog box to view detailed information about all QBBs in the platform. |

Return to the previous dialog box. |

Commit |
Apply the changes and commit the partition map to the platform. |

Quit |
Exit APW without making changes. |

Save as... |
Save this partition map. The default name is the partition map name (see above). |
