Whenever you work in APW, you must choose whether to modify the current Partition Map, create a new Partition Map, or load and modify another Partition Map.
Once you've selected the task you wish to perform, press "Next>" to continue.
Modify current partition map You are taken to the Create or Modify Partition Map dialog box. The partitions in which an operating system is running are disabled, grayed out. If you apply your changes, the disabled partitions insure that your changes will not affect running operating systems.
Create a new partition map You are taken to the Partition Map Creation Criteria dialog box. If you apply your changes, you will be warned if your changes affect running operating systems.
Modify an existing partition map The system loads a partition map in the Create or Modify Partition Map dialog box that includes the partition assignment for all Duo slots. If you apply your changes, you will be warned if your changes affect running operating systems.
When you load a Partition Map, you will see a warning message if the map is invalid due to hardware differences between the maps original platform and the current platform. There is no harm in loading the map even if it is invalid. You will be warned of problems if you apply your changes.
