A standalone console is any console that has an IP address that is used to access it at the specified port. Using the Add Standalone Console dialog you can add consoles that you access often as part of your management tasks.
Add a standalone console by doing one of the following:
Select Standalone Consoles in the left frame of the main display; then from the Actions menu select Add Standalone Console...
or
Right-click Standalone Consoles in the left frame of the main display and select Add Standalone Console... from the pop-up menu
or
Select Consoles in the left frame of the main display and Icons from the View menu; then right-click Standalone Consoles in the right frame and select Add Standalone Console... from the pop-up menu
By default console output logging and monitoring are off. You can access and monitor other AlphaServer consoles from the SPM.
