In order to enable access to a partition's port, the console on the partition must be configured. Additional functions also depend on this configuration: access, connection to the HP Management Agent, and enabling console logging and console generated events. Use the partition's Configure dialog box to supply the operating system hostname of the OS running in the partition, the type of operating system, and a brief description.
Access the Configure dialog box by doing one of the following:
Select the partition in the left frame of the main display; then click the Actions menu on the menu bar and select Configure.
or
Right-click the partition in the left frame of the main display and choose Configure.
or
Select the hard partition (ES47, ES80, and GS1280 platforms) or the platform (GS80, GS160, and GS320 platforms). Select Icons from the View menu; then right-click the partition icon in the right frame of the main display and select Configure.
