The main display is a split frame that contains a hierarchical tree in the left frame. The tree contains all AlphaServer platforms managed the AMS computer. Selected elements in the tree (nodes and children) drive the contents of the display in the right frame.
The Right frame can display either icons or details (icons are shown in the example below). This can be changed by selecting either Icons or Details from the View menu.
The tree view in the Left frame provides a means of viewing and navigating to all platforms and accessing the available management functions. Context popup menus are associated with each element (the nodes and children of the tree) in the left frame. These provide the operations one can perform on the selected items either by right-clicking on the item itself or from the Actions menu on the Menu bar.
The Bottom frame contains Hardware Status and Recent Events tabbed windows. They display the current status of a platform's hardware and the most recent events sent to the Event Manager (EVM) respectively.
The Monitor bar provides a dynamic display of the aggregated status of each managed AlphaServer platform displayed in the left frame. The right-hand side of this bar displays the current user.
