Map a console port for external telnet access by doing one of the following:
Select Consoles in the left frame of the main display; then from the Actions menu select Map Console Ports for External Access....
or
Right-click on Consoles in the left frame of the main display and select Map Console Ports for External Access... from the pop-up menu.
or
Select AMS in the left frame of the main display and Icons in the View menu; then right-click Consoles in the right frame and select Map Console Ports for External Access... from the pop-up menu.
AMS platform and console ports can be accessed by external console managers. Use a user-specified mapped port number to access a console through cmfd.
The dialog displays all consoles (both AMS platform consoles and standalone consoles) and their IP addresses and port numbers.

The name of the console as specified by the user. |

The port number cmfd uses to access the console. |

Mapped Port |
A port number assigned by the user. It can be used by another console manager to access a console through cmfd. |

Security On |
Enables authentication with cmfd. The user of an external console manager connected to cmfd needs to authenticate himself by entering a username and password of an AMS account. Only one authentication is required per external console manager connection. |

Security Off |
cmfd makes the requested connection without asking the external console manager user to authenticate with cmfd. |
