Monitor Bar

The monitor bar tells you at a glance the error state of the platforms connected to the AMS. The right-hand side of the bar displays the current user. See Status Checks for a list of the events that are monitored.

Meaning

OK Status — The number indicates how many platforms are running without errors.

Warning Status — The number indicates how many platforms have warning errors.  These are not critical as yet, but you may want to investigate them further.

Critical Error Status — The number indicates how many platforms have critical errors calling for your immediate attention.

The most severe error level for any given platform is displayed. That is, if a platform has both a warning and an error status, the error is displayed.

A number appears next to each icon on the monitor bar indicating how many platforms are in each particular state. In the example shown below, two platforms are running without errors (green box with checkmark), one has at least one warning (yellow box with exclamation point), and one has at least one critical error (red box with X).

Moving the Monitor Bar

You can leave the monitor bar docked in the application window, or you can move it to any convenient location on your screen. The browser window can then be minimized, leaving the monitor bar visible on your desktop while running other applications.

To move the monitor bar, click anywhere in the monitor bar and drag, making it a separate window elsewhere on your desktop. Click the Close button in the upper right corner of the window to return the monitor bar to the browser window.
