Exclusive Access |
If you connect to a console using exclusive mode access, you take complete control of this console preventing other users from connecting in shared or exclusive mode. Users can still connect using a read-only connection. |

Shared Access |
When you connect to a console using a shared connection you can read console output and you can send console input. Multiple shared mode connections are allowed to a console’s port. However, the input and output of each console is shown in all open console windows. |

Read-Only Access |
When you connect to a console using read-only connection you are only allowed to see console output. Keyboard input is not sent to the console. A read-only connection can always be established even if other users are connecting to that console. |
