You are reading the file README from the NICE20-Distribution.

This archive contains NICE, a powerful macro package which enhances
the facilities of plainTeX. Using NICE, you can comfortably type
your documents in a simple way and nethertheless obtain impressive
results.

This archive contains the following files:
+ README the file you are reading at the moment. It contains
general information about the NICE distribution.
+ LICENSE the license conditions for using and redistributing
the NICE package. Please read it before you do
anything further with the NICE distribution.
+ DTOU a UNIX C-shell script for converting MS-DOS text files
                into UNIX format.
+ NICE.TEX the NICE macro package. You can use it simply by
                issuing the command
                        \input nice
at the beginning of your TeX-document (provided it is
                installed in a proper directory).
+ NICEDOC.DVI the manual for NICE, written in german language.
You can print it by using any suitable DVI output driver.

The text files above are stored in MS-DOS format. MS-DOS uses a CR/LF
sequence as end-of-line marker, whereas UNIX uses only LF. If you are
installing NICE on a UNIX system, you have to convert these text files to
UNIX format. You can use the enclosed C-shell script for this purpose:
Simply type the command
        dtou readme license nice.tex

Note for english readers:
Sorry, but the manual for NICE is not available in english language yet.
An english version of this text is being prepared, but do not
expect it to be released before January 1991.
