1.2 Information managed by ServerConductor

ServerConductor manages asset information (such as hardware configuration information) and failure information. This section describes the information that can be managed by ServerConductor.

(1) Asset information

ServerConductor manages hardware and software configuration information.

(a) Inventory information

ServerConductor enables the user to view information about system devices, such as OS versions, hardware configuration information, and installation sites.

(2) Error information

ServerConductor manages information about errors that occur on servers.

(a) Alert information

If a failure occurs on a server, details about the error are sent as an alert to the administrator. Because filters and threshold values for reporting of alerts can be set for servers, the user can implement an alert notification system that is appropriate for the operating environment.

(b) Alert log function

The administrator can view alerts because they are stored as log information at the servers. ServerConductor manages the following log information:
