You must execute components called services on each machine that constitutes ServerConductor. The following figure provides an overview of the ServerConductor services.

- Manager service
- This service is executed on the machine used as the manager. The service collects management information from the managed servers, sends this information to the console service, and transmits instructions from the console service to the agent service.
- Console service
- This service is executed on the machine used as the management console. The user uses the console service to log on to the manager service and to manage the managed servers.
- Web console service
- This is a collective name for the Web console servlet and Web gateway service.
- Web console servlet
- This program is used to generate Web management console windows displayed in a Web browser.
- Web gateway service
- Located between the Web console servlet and the manager service, this service provides management information to the Web console servlet.
- Alert action service
- This service starts a program automatically when an alert is received.
- Agent service
- This service is executed on a machine used as a managed server. The agent service is provided in a Windows version and a Linux version.
- Windows version (Agent (Windows))
This agent service is run on a Windows server. It constantly monitors the server's status and sends the status information to the manager service.
- Linux version (Agent (Linux))
This agent service is run on a Linux server. It constantly monitors the server's status and sends the status information to the manager service.
- SNMP translator agent service
- This service is required in order to use the SNMP translator function on a Windows or Linux server. The service converts the alerts sent by ServerConductor to SNMP traps and sends them to the SNMP manager.
