2.5.2 Required environment

This subsection describes the environment (such as the programs) required for controlling power to the managed servers.

To use agent1 as a managed server, the following environment is required:

  • Agent (Windows or Linux)
    Install the agent service.
Settings#
  • IP address or host name of the manager (manager1)
  • Local server's site information

To use the power control function, you must first use the syscfg tool to set the IP address in BMC. For details about the syscfg tool, see the documentation provided with CF3e.
