13.2 Setting up an environment when the SNMP translator is used to manage Windows servers

To use the SNMP translator to view Windows server information (perform steps 1 and 2 at the managed server and steps 3 and 4 at the SNMP manager):

  1. Set up the Windows SNMP service.
  2. Install the SNMP translator.
  3. Install the SNMP manager on the machine to be used to view information.
  4. Set up an environment for the SNMP manager.
