If the normal power-off operation is not possible for a reason such as a fatal error, you can forcibly turn off the power to the server. The forced power-off operation does not involve shutdown processing. Only a user logged in as an administrator can perform this procedure.

To forcibly turn off the power:

1. In the Host management window, from the detail area, select the host whose power is to be forcibly turned off.
2. From the Host Operation menu, choose Forced power OFF.
   A Confirmation dialog box is displayed.
   
3. Check the host whose power is to be forcibly turned off and then click the OK button.
   The selected host is forcibly turned off.
