Installation and Use
5.25-inch Drive Bays and Ventilation Panels
Only two of the three bays can be populated. The third location and the one-inch vented panel must be unpopulated, and the vented panels retained as an air inlet, for processor and memory cooling. Without this air inlet the processors may overheat.

Error: ID# LUN# SAF-TE Disk Config Error
The SAF-TE enclosure is not automatically detecting the drive. To manually include the drive, enter the Storcon utility. F4 for Advanced | Configure Physical Devices | ESG-SHV SCA HSBP | Enclosure Slot Configuration | Select the slot where the drive is installed | Press Enter to include the drive in the SAF-TE configuration.

How To Daisy Chain Hot Swap Backplanes
The Y-Cable part number AHD3HSBPYCBL allows both SCSI Backplanes to connect together on a single SCSI channel.
For the Intel® RAID Controller SRCU42, the SCSI termination on the RAID controller needs to be disabled
If the Y-cable is connected to the onboard SCSI controllers, then the onboard SCSI termination needs to be disabled.
The Intel® Server Board must have support for the two I2C connectors for both SCSI Backplane. Both I2C cables must be connected to the two I2C connectors on ther server board. Otherwise, the RAID/SCSI controller cannot assign proper SCSI ID to the drives.
