===================================================
Changes to DiskDupe Pro, Version 3.11 dated 11/2/90
===================================================

BUG FIXES:
==========

/DUP Hang on Exit Bug
---------------------
When using DiskDupe from the command line with a command like:
DISKDUPE A: B: /C1 /DUP
it would occasionally hang the computer on exit so that it was
necessary to reboot it. This has been fixed.

Disk Sense Lockup Bug
---------------------
Sometimes when there was a disk in the drive, DiskDupe would not recognize
it. This has been fixed.

====================================================
Changes to DiskDupe Pro, Version 3.1 dated 10/24/90.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES:
====================

Auto Sensing
------------
DiskDupe now senses when a disk has been inserted into the disk drive
so that you no longer have to press <Enter> after the disk has been
changed.

Auto Sensing has a safety feature to prevent overwriting a disk that
has been accidently left in the drive. Whenever DiskDupe is writing to
a disk, it makes sure that any disk in the drive is taken out first. If
you want to use the disk in the drive, take it out and re-insert it or
press <Enter>.

When using the A: & B: Standby Drive option, this safety feature is only
turned on for the first disk.

Auto Sensing keeps the drive light on all the time. When DiskDupe alerts
you, it is safe to take out the disk.

Secondary Controller
-------------------
DiskDupe now supports a secondary controller. Your computer probably has
a secondary controller if it is an AT or 386 type and you have more than
two disk drives. If this is the case, select the Ext. Drive option under
the Options menu and select Secondary High or Secondary Low. If you have
an XT type computer or an AST computer, select the Primary High option.
If you get an error reading from the 3rd: or 4th: drive, try other
Ext. Drive options.

To specify the Ext. Drive from the command line, use /XPH, /XSH or /XSL
for Primary High, Secondary High or Secondary Low.

Command Line Options
--------------------
Several command line options were not documented in the manual. To set the
copy type to 320k, use /T5X320. To set the type of drive for your 3rd: or
4th: drive use /S3rd:360k or /S4th:720k, etc.

To use a RamboDisk on the command line use RAMBO1 or RAMBO2 like this:
DISKDUPE RAMBO1 A: /C1 /DUP

Foreign Copy Type
-----------------
DiskDupe now lets you copy a 5" disk to a 3" disk directly. The 3" disk
will be formatted the same as the 5" disk, so you will lose some capacity.
If you need to keep the full capacity of the 3" disk, you can use a
RamboDisk.

RDFormat
--------
A new program has been added that formats a RamboDisk, called RDFormat.
This is useful if you want to clean out your RamboDisk before copying new
files to it so that DiskDupe will duplicate as fast as possible. To use
it, type RDFORMAT F: if your RamboDisk is drive F:. If you are using
RDFormat in a batch file and don't want it to stop to ask if it is okay
to format the RamboDisk, use the /G parameter: RDFORMAT F: /G.

Bad Disk Alarm
--------------
To make sure you don't accidently put a bad disk in the wrong stack,
DiskDupe will now sound an alarm whenever it encounters a bad disk. It will
also tell you which drive the bad disk is in which is helpful when using
the Standby Drive.

IMPROVEMENTS:
=============
DiskDupe now responds to the <Esc> key more quickly when you want to
stop duplicating disks.

The file ALRES.DAT is no longer needed. The information in this file
has been incorporated into the DISKDUPE.DAT file.

The top line is now centered when duplicating and won't flash a "c-" when
DiskDupe quits.

The cursor is always turned back on when DiskDupe quits. Before, if DiskDupe
suffered from an internal error, it would sometimes leave the cursor off.

If <Esc> is pressed while duplicating, DiskDupe will no longer pause for
a few seconds before it starts duplicating again.

Some of the menus were resized and repositioned.
