A Forest Shop

People often ask me questions like "How do you progam this?" or "Where did you get the idea for that?".

Instead of replying to each question individiually, I've made this page. Everything here is something I can personnaly vouch for, and that everybody should have. See for yourselves.

Programming
Click to Order Anyone who ever did something in graphics programming knows "The pencil book". Ask any demo-coder. The same author provides his newest programming bible with lots of usable example code and toolkits.

Which book do you need to read? None. You need to study them and know them as you know yourself.
Nobody ever said this was going to be easy!

Brain food and Culture
Click to Order Gibson is the one who invented Cyberpunk. Not just the word, but the entire genre. Neuromancer is one of the first books he has written and one of the most important ones too. When this was written (about 10 years ago), this was called SF. Today, this can be vieuwed as "Vieuws of living in the big city in the next century". A classic.
Click to Order The author of this is associated with MIT, which is where all the important innovations come from. Visionary and thought-provoking.
Also: I bet my mousepad that this is the book M$Billy read before writing his book.
Click to Order A story about a few geeks who drop out of Microsoft, trying to establish their own firm and attempting to find themselves while doing so. Painfully reallistic.
A must-read for anyone (thinking of) working in a software firm.

Humour
Click to Order This is sorta 3 books in 1. Comic strip, live story and management guide. Really.

For anyone working at a medium/large firm, this will be not only be incredibly funny but also painfully realistic. When you've done laughing, you sit and think "Hey, wait a minute, that happened here a while ago.."

Click to Order The trilogy of five, by Douglas Adams. If that made you giggle, this is book is going to kill you. The writing style is like nothing seen anywhere else. Anyone who reads a page is hooked and will have is his mind scrambling to put it all together. You have been warned.
Click to OrderClick to Order The latest work from the master himself. Read the book. Play the game. But watch out for the parrot!

Total World Domination
Click to Order This work is over 2000 years old but it has not aged a day! It is required reading for anybody needing to work out strategies in a competitive environement (and where can you find something else these days?).

Don't flame!

As the book above says: "Know thy enemy. Shape his mind. Get to know his innermost thoughts."
It is always handy to have some ideas about what one of the most powerfull men in the world is about to pull from his sleeves.

Games
Click to Order Run around in a totally submersive 3D world. Meet intersesting people. Blow them to shreds using a vast array of weapons.

Seriously, ever heared of a gamer who didn't deathmatch?

Click to Order Jump and run around as a big-busted babe, hauling a pair of guns (and other very destrucive material), solving puzzels a bit, but mostly shooting at everything that walks by.

Need we say more?
Click to Order They did more than just capture the atmosphere of the episodes.
They took it to a entire new -interactive- level...

So, this one goes out to all those of us that ever wanted to walk around flashing a FBI badge around and asking everyone annoying questions....

Music
Click to OrderClick to Order When master of parady Weird Al gets his hands on a song, the results are hilarious.

Music to program by.
