                 Echelon with Real Sound Docs

August, '89

Solicitor here, well I got the all digitized version of
echelon. This game is so hard to figure out (it pissed me

all of the keys, here they are:

F6 Bottom View
F7 Front View
F8 Rear View
F9 Left View
F10 Right View

2 Zoom out map
3 Zoom in front view
4 Zoom out front view

W Map view On/off
T Teleporter
P Pause
A Area map On/off
S Timer On/off
D Deploy APV
G Grid On/off

Z Zone Map On/off
X Datamate computer
M Move left
< Move up
> Move right
L Move right
Right Arrow Increase Engine Power
Down Arrow Decrease Engine Power
+ Increase Engine Power
- Decrease Engine Power
NUMBER PAD Direction(s)
SPACE Fire Current Weapon
ESC Quit to DOS

hmmm every sound on this game is digitized, really cool.
The only purpose so far that I have found if to blow up enemy
stuff and ships, and somehow you can land (I don't know how
yet, something for you to hack on). On the ships Datamate,
you can get directions on docking(there is a full menus),
maps, game options (sound level, savegame, etc) and some
other neat stuff. When you start out, hit plus until the
upper left-hand bar lights mostly up, you will then move,
then pull back on yer joystick (just like other flight
simulators). Then turn on the back and ditch control, and
yer fly'n! now move the stick forwards to go down, and blow
away all the stuff on the ground with yer gunfire. You will
also fight ships in the air, (which are MUCH harder to hit).
Also, on the zone map you hit "H" for hyperdrive. Then you
move the lighted block over to the right sector ya want, then
hit the button or space to "energize". There is a purpose
of this game, but I don't know on this one since nobody else
made docs for (I looked hard guyz). Kinda fun anyways, there
is alot of action and Kick-ass digitized sound throught the
game. Well that's it for now, Later
