This is a text oriented adventure game that starts you out in
unfamiliar territory, even the name isn't much of a clue. The
object is to muddle along until you discover what you must do to
win. If at times it seems unclear and vague, remember that this
adventure game is a little tongue in cheekish and not intended to
be more than moderately difficult.

Among the features to be found in this adventure are a "save" and
"load". The file "QUATT.QTT" must be on the default drive to
prevent an error when accessing "load". "QUATT" is the default
name for saving game positions but you may use any other name you
like, and you may have as many "SAVE" files as you like depending
on disk space.

A couple of small hints; not all directions are obvious, and when
examining things, words like examine, look and search will quite
often produce different results.

The command line parser will understand complete sentences, but
in this particular game two word commands will generally suffice.
The parser understands words shortened to a length of four
characters, and in the case of commonly used commands such as
look, inventory, quit, and all directions, a single letter
command is all that is necessary.

I wrote this Adventure Game about twenty years ago, one of the
first that I wrote. The actual code runs on an "adventure machine"
that I was developing at the time. I never pursued the project because
it was clear that interest was fading in text only Adventures.

While this game is copyrighted it is now being offered as freeware.
You are permitted to copy or distribute it freely as long as you do not
sell the game for a profit, and as long as you do not modify the
program or the accompanying files and documentation in any way.
This file "QUATT.TXT" must be included with the main program.

The game runs in a console window and should run on all versions
of Windows up to XP.
