CW30.ZIP: CoreWars version 3.0
------------------------------

This archive contains the executable and documentation for an implementation of
the game Core War, as described by A.K. Dewdney in his Computer Recreations
column of Scientific American and in his book, The Armchair Universe. Versions
of this program have been used during the summers of 1989 and 1990 by high
school students in the Governor's Honors Program at Valdosta State College,
Valdosta GA. It's gotten a pretty good workout so it's fairly robust (I hope).

It has been run under DOS 3.3 and DOS 4.01, on 8088, 80286, and 80386 machines.
It uses either CGA or VGA (default); to make it use CGA, invoke it with the
command "CW30 CGA".

This version has been extended in some interesting ways, especially the PCI
instruction which was suggested by Ben Combee, one of my students this summer.

Have fun.
