DATA DISK

This diskette contains the data files used by Wizard's Lair I. Since this
diskette is accessed during game play, never remove it from the diskette
drive if you are playing from diskette. Otherwise, the system may hang.

Of course, if you are running WL-I from a hard drive, simply copy the
contents of this disk and the program disk onto the hard drive. From then
on, ignore any messages that ask you to replace the data disk.

Please note that on Versions 2.0 and later, the default save game file
is named DEFAULT.SAV to prevent accidental overwrite of any existing
saved game files when you upgrade to the later version. If you wish
to use DEFAULT.SAV you must either rename it to WL1.SAV (the default
saved game filename used by WL1) or change the filename on the resume
game screen when booting the game.

For 360K floppy uers, you may save your game to this diskette.
This is recommended, since you will not have to switch diskettes
when saving, thus eliminating the chance of forgetting to replace this
disk in the drive when the game is saved.

REMEMBER: EACH SAVED GAME REQUIRES ABOUT 2400 bytes, SO BE SURE THERE'S ENOUGH
ROOM FOR MULTIPLE SAVED GAME FILES !!

There's room on the Data Disk for about 70 different saved game files.

NOTE: CONV.EXE and CONVERT.DOC
-----

These two files are to be used ONLY by individuals who had been playing
with version 1.3 or earlier. If you intend to use saved game files
created with these earlier versions with the current version you
MUST convert these earlier files with the CONV.EXE utility. The file
CONVERT.DOC explains how to do this.
