Are you all as tired of SHAREWARE as I am? Back in the old days
(6-7 years ago), when hobbyists wrote software, they would freely 'share
it' with the rest of the computer community. That truly was 'shareware'.
Now it seems that every program, no matter how inconsequential, comes
with a plea for money and registration. Of course some of this software
is truly excellent, rivalling commercial software, and trying before buying
is an appreciated opportunity to save money by avoiding inferior products.
We all have our favorites, in terms of games, some of mine are: almost all
of APOGEE software, the New Games from Epic MegaGames, Galactix, some of
the games by Nels Anderson, William Soleau, etc. Many of these individuals
are truly professional programmers and deserve to be supported.
However, the rest of the stuff is like this game, it's OK but hardly
of commercial quality and hardly worth $15 when compared to Galactix e.g.
I can understand, in part, the reason for novice programmers to try and
collect money for their efforts. It truly takes an extraordinary amount
of time for the relative novice to produce, good, non-commercial quality
software (hundreds of hours in some cases). However, people aren't
going to spend money supporting someone else's hobby unless the product
is truly innovative. But we all feel guilty about it! ENOUGH ALREADY!
This game for all intents and purposes is Guilt-FREEWARE. You
do not have to send any money or register this program whether you use
it or not. However it did take me a hundred hours or so (believe it or
not) to create this program. And this fact led me to the concept of
CAREWARE. Essentially, I am donating my efforts in creating this program
to you. I ask now that you consider donating to someone else
(hence the name, CAREWARE). Whether you like this program or not,
please consider donating 10+ dollars to one of the following charities
the next time you have the opportunity.

     AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY
     AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION
National ALliance for the Mentally Ill
     AIDS FOUNDATION
or for the Sports-Minded and because this IS
       the Brain Olympics, the
     US Olympic Committee.

Of course another charity of your choice is perfectly ok.

I don't need your money, but these organizations do!
