Hard Disk Install:
We have added a hard disk install file to the program disk. Make sure that
you are in the root directory of your hard drive (you should see the 'C:'
prompt). Then log onto the floppy disk drive, insert the Bridge 7.0 master
disk and type: 'INSTALL'. The program will create a sub-directory on the C
drive called BRIDGE7. Note that this install program will only work if your
DOS sub-directory is in the path statement and that XCOPY is in the DOS
sub-directory.

Modified Auto Mode:
We have added a modification to the Auto Mode for both bidding and play.
When it is your turn to bid, type 'auto' from the keyboard - do not use a
mouse to click on the 'Auto' button - and the program will continue
bidding automatically, with no further input from you, until bidding is
completed. Similarly, when it is your turn to choose a card to play, type
'auto' from the keyboard and play will continue automatically until all
remaining tricks have been played. Note the difference between typing
'auto' and 'o'.

Color Toggle Switch:
If you do not have an EGA or VGA graphics adapter, the program display uses
character graphics for the cards and has no mouse input. When running in
this mode with a monochrome monitor, some computers may produce a display
that is hard to see. If this seems to be the case, try running the program
with the Color-off switch; type 'BRIDGE7 C' when starting the program. This
will force the color palette into a true black and white display.

Sounds:
As mentioned in the documentation, the BIDS sub-directory must be in the
active drive or hard disk sub-directory in order for you to hear the
digitized speech. Since the speech files must be read from disk each time a
bid is made, there may be a noticable delay between the level of the bid
and the suit ( between the '2' and 'hearts' of a 2 heart bid). Since file
access times are quicker for hard drives than for floppy disks, this delay
would be more noticable when running the program from floppy than from hard
disk.
