Echolocation - a system by which an
animal sends out beeps or pulses of
high-pitched sounds and listens for
the echoes that bounce back when the
sounds hit an object. Bats,
porpoises, solenodons, whales, and
some shrews use echolocation to find
their way, to avoid obstacles, and
to detect %F,10,..\h\prey%prey.
