TSENG LABS ET4000/W32
---------------------
Some customers have reported problems running Tornado on graphics cards which
use the Tseng Labs ET4000/W32 Super VGA chip set. The symptom being an
intermittent screen flicker. If you are experiencing this problem then run
Tornado using the following command line:-

TORNADO /V2

ERROR.LOG
---------
The program attempts to keep track of any errors detected by recording
them in a file called ERROR.LOG (found in the DATAXCHG subdirectory).
If you experience problems, it may be worth looking in this file and noting
the contents before calling DI.

CH PRODUCTS FLIGHTSTICK PRO JOYSTICK
------------------------------------
Button assignments:
Main trigger = Fire weapon
Left button = cycle air-to-air weapon
Mid button = manoeuvre flaps in/out
Right button = airbrakes

MULTIPLE JP233 ATTACKS
----------------------
Due to the large number of submunitions in the JP233 weapon,
it is not possible to keep track of all the craters produced during
multiple JP233 attacks. The net effect of this is the disappearance
of some of the craters.

TIME/SPEED PLANNING PROBLEMS
----------------------------
Page 84 describes the dangers of trying to fix both the speed and
time at both ends of a leg in your flightplan. Distance, speed and
time are linked - fix two of them and the third becomes Bound. If you
decide to fix Time then leave the speed Free or vice versa. The error
checking system of the mission planner attempts to warn you if
if you are asking the impossible but it is not infallible. The simple
rule is - don't do it!

MICROSOFT MOUSE DRIVER VERSION 9
--------------------------------
Tornado will not function correctly with this new mouse driver. We
are working on the problem and hope to resolve it soon. In the
meantime, using a previous version will solve your problem.

CAMPAIGN GAMES
--------------
Although your primary targets are specified by the computer, you
will find it necessary to add your own secondary and tertiary targets
in order to keep up with the enemy.

USING AUTO-APPROACH WITH CROSSWIND
----------------------------------
When landing with a high crosswind, you may find that the
auto-approach system cannot remain centred in the ILS beam. This
is when all that practice at manual landing comes in handy....

TWO PLAYER - MODEM LINK UP
--------------------------
Select Baud rate before selecting Modem else link up problems may occur.

SOUNDBLASTER USERS
------------------
If you find that you cannot cancel the Master Warning sound,
press Pause twice to clear the sound.

If sound effects change during flight, they will be restored
on your next mission. The computer will default to the AdLib
sound effects if it detects a problem during flight.

If you experience problems with the SoundBlaster 16 card then
please select the AdLib card.

QUICKSTART
----------
The Quickstart option does not have a debrief as suggested in page 15 of the
manual.

TIPS
----

1. If you experience the "Insufficient fuel for flight plan" message
when planning your flight, first check your flightplan for speed
changes. The autothrottle will use reheat to accelerate and this is
taken into account when calculating the estimated fuel requirement. By
keeping speed changes to a minimum, you will reduce your fuel requirement.
If this does not solve the problem, either (a) try and shorten your
route or (b) carry fewer weapons.

2. Enemy interceptors will have difficulty tracking you if you are
terrain following at low altitude and at high speed. This may mean
breaking formation temporarily to fly ahead and your route may no longer
match the flightplan due to the wider turns at each waypoint.

3. Take particular care when terrain following at high speed
with 67 degree wing sweep.
