Mission #6:
May 9. Commence land bombardment operations against targets around Port
Stanley. There are reports of hostile helicopters in the area, as well as
reports of an Argentine intelligence-gathering ship that may be shadowing
the Task Force.

Background: Several British warships attacked targets around Port Stanley
with naval gunfire from 13 miles offshore. During the shelling, an
Argentine Puma helicopter was shot down, and the 1400-ton converted
fishing vessel Narwal was attacked. The Narwal was being used as an
intelligence-gathering ship and was later boarded and captured by Royal
Navy Marines.

Mission #7:
May 10. Use your radar to scout out targets for Tomahawk launches in the
Port Stanley area. Fighters may be armed with Exocet anti-ship missiles,
so keep your eyes open for sea-level attacks by the fighters.

Background: The AEGIS class cruiser was called upon to launch Tomahawk
missiles at a radar site and park aircraft in and around the Port Stanley
airport.
