Third Exclusion Zone Extension: 24 February 1992
Mission #4:
February 24. Escort the damaged Los Angeles-class submarine to neutral
waters.

Background: The damaged Los Angeles-class submarine remains dead in the
water. The course taken to reach neutral waters passed near Ukrainian
ships. Ukrainian Badger aircraft came into the area from Soviet airspace.
They were led by two MiG-29s, but the MiG-29s stopped after closing in on
the U.S. task group. The Ukrainian aircraft fired on the task force.

Tension Buildup: 25 February 1992
Mission #5:
February 25. Lead your task group in a patrol of the area. You may fire
upon enemy targets as necessary, with no range limitations. Expect heavy
air attacks.

Background: An over-the-horizon targeting of SS-N-12 missiles caused a
flurry of communications to go forth between different craft. The AEGIS
task group is allowed to fire upon contacts not identified as friendly
when necessary, with no range limitations. A Slava ship received targeting
information from a Hormone B from the Moskva. The Ukrainians are moving in
on the AEGIS group, and threatening its safety. Air activity was heavy,
with Ukrainian and Russian Badger bombers flying toward the battle group.
