Chapter 4. Playing the Simulation

This section describes facets of game play and all the screens in the
simulation.

Common Features
Many of the sensor stations and warfare screens in AEGIS: Guardian of the
Fleet have features in common. These common features are described below.

On-line Help: On-line Help is provided for all the major screens in the
simulation. To access On-line Help, press the "F1" key. The appropriate
page(s) of the Electronic Book will be displayed on the screen. Note that
any changes you make to settings while you are reviewing the Electronic
Book through On-line Help will not be saved. To review the complete text
of the documentation on-line, call up the Electronic Book.

True Bearing: In navigation, direction is referred to as "bearing" and is
expressed in degrees. True Bearing refers to 0 degrees due north.
Direction is measured by counting clockwise from 0, True Bearing, full
circle through 359 degrees. Using True Bearing, due east is 90 degrees,
due south is 180 degrees, due west is 270 degrees and due north is 0
degrees.
