Range: tells you how far you can fire your guns. It is provided in both
yards and nautical miles.
Range, shown in yards, comes in handy for closer encounters. The maximum
is 86,531 yards. This is a theoretical number based on the fact that a
weapon can be fired the farthest at a 45 degree angle.

Range, shown in nautical miles, is more efficient for targets that are
farther away. The maximum is 42.724 nautical miles. This is a theoretical
number based on the fact that a weapon can be fired the farthest at a 45
degree angle.

IMPORTANT: Effective range for your guns is 13 nautical miles. You
will not be allowed to fire your guns if the target range is greater than
13 nautical miles.

Hooked Target Data
The text to the right of the status box displays information on the hooked
target. The text for a hooked target helps you identify the ships,
submarines, aircraft, missiles or other fired weapons, and any oil
platforms in the area of battle. The color of the text changes as follows:

   Blue: Friendly targets
   Red: Enemy targets
