
indicates that the weapon selected cannot be used against the type of 
currently hooked target (e.g., attempting to use a torpedo against an air 
target).

Changing from LOCK to FIRE:  The "Target Out of Range" message indicates 
that the target is outside the weapon site's arc or is too far away. The 
"Weapon Jammed" message means that you are attempting to fire too many 
weapons. The "Not at General Quarters" message informs you that you must 
be at General Quarters to fire any weapon.

     IMPORTANT:  The hooked target data box displays the information 
relating to the active weapon site's locked target. If no weapon system is
active, the target grid will be highlighted in yellow and any visible 
hooked target will be displayed with a white circle around it. Remember 
that a target can be out of the range of the target grid and still be 
hooked. An indicator for an unseen but hooked target is its relevant data 
in the hooked target data box. To determine which target a weapon site is 
locked on, select that weapon site. The information on the locked target 
will be displayed in the hooked target data box, and the weapon system 
will be highlighted. To release lock, select "ARM" status or fire the
