1982 - FALKLANDS WAR|
The first major campaign where modern-day weaponry was used by both sides.
The war saw the first validation of the French-built Exocet (AM 39)
anti-ship missile, and exposed the need for a point-defense system for
each ship in the British Fleet, as well as the need for an extended
anti-air capability for both detection and attack.|
The war itself was largely an air campaign waged against ships, and the
simulation version of this battle will test the Captain's ability to recognize
and react to threats with little warning.
