   Snow problems
   -------------

Snow or what may look like screen interference may occur during palette
fades and restores. On some machines it is really severe. On others it
     does not occur at all.

Due to the limitations of the QuickBasic 4.5 language this cannot
     be remedied.

   Local Bus problem ?
   -------------------

Running Matrix from a floppy drive may cause loss of video
information on machines equipped with PCI , and VESA local bus.

The problem appears to be a compatibility problem with
the newer bus designs and DOS.

Because DOS cant be fixed and the fact the floppy drive will
slow down Matrix considerably we don't recommend running
     matrix from a floppy drive.

   Joystick/Gamepad
   -----------------

Notes: Joystick and gamepad are used interchangeably since they both
           use the same routines.

Matrix will sometimes report that a gamepad is present when there
    isn't one.

This problem isn't really one. Since you have to specify that
you want to play with a gamepad on the command line you probably have
    one attached.

If you don't though , you will have to reset the computer or plug
in a joystick or gamepad because you cannot continue unless the
    requested button is pressed.

Anyway the card in question was combination mouse, parallel,
and game port and had no manufacture printed on it.

    Windows Problems
    ----------------
        Time Hog...

Matrix's sounds differently each time it is started. This happens
because windows is a multitasking enviroment and messes up the
calibration on the timing delay routines. Besides the sound
        overall operation may be effected.

Local Bus Problem Revisited ? ...

Switching between Matrix and another application will corrupt
the video memory that Matrix occupies reguardless of pif file
settings. Upon return to Matrix portions of the screen may be
missing or scrambled. ISA owners will not have this problem.

The pif file provided with matrix disables the ability to switch
from matrix to another application. ISA owners may change this
        setting without any consequence.

                            More to come ?
