You saw our ending screen ! If that didn't convince you to order the
source code mabye we still have a shot at it here.

   You don't have Microsofts QuickBasic 4.5 ?

That's ok. The code will run in QuickBasic 4 and later.
There is also a scaled down version of Matrix that will
run in Qbasic that Microsoft includes with DOS. This 'condensed'
version looks virtually identical. Every thing but the advanced
code will be useful. After you see this run in Qbasic you'll
be wondering how to get your hands on QuickBasic 4.5.

Why order the Source code ?

Mabye your just starting out learning how to program. Believe
it or not that's how this game came to be. Before this program
the authors had never touched QuickBasic 4.5. So this is a great
opportunity to start learning the tricks and techniques that
can take months or years of research. Even if games don't interest
you, most of the routines and functions can easily be modified
to run in almost any application. There is almost certainly
lots to be learned from this code.

Even if you been programing a while ; all the better.
You'll surely gain some insight on gaming theory. Seeing how
Matrix ticks is surely enough in itself. But if it's not, you'll
appreciate the library of routines, sneaky tricks and direct
hardware programming. You'll wonder how you ever got along
        without knowing this stuff !

How about because you can Hack the *?#! out of it ?

What you get with your order .

Let's start with the Matrix QuickBasic 4.5 source code. Two versions
will be delivered with your order. The version that's commented almost
line for line and the one that's not commented .

The commented version is well suited for reference. All that text
takes up so much memory it won't compile on systems with lots of
device drivers and the like. The uncommented version (or sparsely
commented) will compile just fine. By the way , all the code is
visible and non cryptic. At least not on purpose.

You also get the source code to Paltrix and the Scenario Editor.
        That's a lot of Quickbasic 4.5 code.

Beside having the code commented the authors have assembled
an illustrated notebook style teaching aid accompanied with
example programs. Theory of operation is covered in detail.
The various processes and features too are broken into simple
procedures and thoroughly explained. Concepts are solidified with
the numerous example programs provided on disk. ( No typing! )
You won't be trudging through the maze of code without the
helpful and intuitive tour guide provided.

Ok ,lets summarize what you can expected :

        1. Commented Source code to Matrix, Paltrix and the Scenario Editor.
        2. Awesome Notebook style teaching aid / documentation.
        3. Official full color Nocturnal Creations babe poster !
                                                   (just kidding it's B+W)

In case you need some more details before you succumb, here is some
of the great stuff you'll discover :
